Colac Station offers two different types of accommodation, which consist of the cottage and the homestead. Each provides a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

Colac Station is a 168,000 acre sheep and cattle property 50 kilometers north-east of Quilpie on the watershed between the Darling and Bulloo River catchments. Colac is 190 kilometres west of Charleville and is on the road to Birdsville and Longreach via Windorah.
The property has a wide range of vegetation from grassy plains to rugged gorge country.
Most meals are eaten outside, when weather permits, where the garden is like an oasis compared to the rich red soil surrounding the homestead.
Colac normally runs 12,000 Merino sheep and 500 mainly Hereford cattle.
Details
Full board includes all meals, accommodation and tours. Children under 12 years are charged at 50 per cent of the adult rate. Children under two are free.

Rooms & Facilities
There is a fully self contained two bedroom cottage 100 metres from the main homestead and a queen bedroom in the homestead with its own bathroom and toilet. All bedrooms are air-conditioned.
Activities
There is a range of activities available including joining station activities, tennis, fishing, bird watching, opal fossicking, bush walking, picnics or simply relax in our beautiful garden and enjoy our western hospitality. All meals are available, as are property or district tours.
Map
Travel 35 kilometers east of Quilpie on the Charleville Road, and then north for a further 15 kilometres. An airstrip is available for private pilots.
